Call us to talk to a funeral director about preplanning your funeral, please call us to set up an appointment to meet with a funeral director or preneed counselor.
What Is Pre-Need?
When you place a direct role in planning your funeral, you are ensured that your family knows what your wishes are which relieves them of having to wonder what your final wishes were when the time comes. It also ensures that your final wishes are honored.
While preplanning your funeral, please keep in mind that there are not any rules when it comes to planning a funeral. Some people want to go over every detail such as the songs played, the musicians, the flowers, and so forth. Others, might just want their family to know that they want to be buried in a wood casket at a certain cemetery leaving the details of the ceremony up to their loved ones.
If your loved one passed away at home or any place other than a medical facility, you will need to call 911 first then Ingram Funeral Home. The medical examiner will then follow their protocol and once your loved one is ready to be released to Ingram Funeral Home, we will be called to the scene by the Medical Examiner.
The next step is for your family to come into the funeral home for an arrangement meeting. This is where we get instruction on how to serve you. We collect the vital information needed to process the appropriate documents, get signed authorizations, create an obituary, and arrange service dates with clergy and other funeral participants. If you have a preplan in place, we will go over it and proceed accordingly. We always appreciate you contacting us directly in addition to the medical team. If you contact us prior to the medical team contacting us, it allows for a much faster response time once we get the official call.
