Alfred Charles Ehrenstein “Skip”
February 3, 1939- April 2,2020
Alfred Charles Ehrenstein “Skip” of Mooresville, North Carolina age 81
passed away on April 2, 2020 under the care of hospice at his home,
with his family at his side.
Skip was a loving husband to his wife Dale Sharpley Ehrenstein “Dee”
for 57 years. He was a beloved father, grandfather and friend to
many. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, playing
poker with his World Tavern Poker League friends. He loved singing
and listening to music especially The Eagles. He had a contagious smile
and had a way to brighten everyone’s day.
Skip served our county for 21 years in the Air Force. He is a Vietnam
War Veteran. He was a member of the America Legion, The VFW and
Amvets organizations. He grew up in Cleveland Ohio and lived in many
places throughout the world during his military career. He retired from
the Military in 1976. After retiring, he lived in Waldorf, Maryland until
2005 when he and his wife moved to Mooresville NC
He was the son of Charles William Ehrenstein and Anglea DeVine
Ehrenstein. He is survived by his wife Dale Sharpley Ehrenstein “Dee”,
his daughters Dawn Nicolau and Heather Monroe. His sister Patricia
Ehrenstein, and his 3 grandchildren, Savanna Penn, Nathan Nicolau and
Isaac Nicolau.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Details will be
obtained through Dawn Nicolau.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking donations be made to the Diabetes
